iparent.tv Subscription Giveaway

What is iParent.TV? If your kids are awake, they’re probably on a smartphone, in front of a smart tv, downloading apps, or posting to social networks. And most likely you have no idea what they’re doing. iParent.TV will be a yearly, subscription-based website for teaching and informing parents on all things tech, mobile, devices, websites, and apps for kids so that you WILL know.
The Problem. Most parents don't have an inside track to tech or social media dangers, let alone how to safeguard their kids against them.
58% of 10-12 year old kids believe they know how to hide their online activities from their parents.
46% of them said they would change their online behavior if they knew their parents were paying attention.
Introducing iParent.TV - keeping parents ahead of the tech curve. We believe we have the opportunity to help parents understand, get involved and safeguard their children in the ever-evolving tech World. iParent.TV educates parents with all the latest trends via Websites - Social Media - Apps - Devices
The idea. It started with a group of dads who felt like their 9-year-olds knew more about tech than they did. They were right. But their idea will help change that forever for all parents. Once launched, iParent.TV will have 100s of videos and product reviews that are very current, cutting edge and trending, keeping parents who subscribe ahead of the tech curve.
How it will work? The iParent.TV website will be a subscription-based site costing $49 per year for parents to access all the videos, reviews, how-tos, and live chat support. It will be the largest site on the net helping parents understand what's safe and what’s not in the world of tech. - And we are offering it for only $29 on Indiegogo.
What you get? Articles, videos, reviews, tips, tools and expert advice on EVERYTHING like…
- Popular Apps
- Social Network Sites
- Major Websites
- Top Devices
With four kids who will soon enough start using smartphones and tablets, I can definitely see the advantage in a site like iparent.tv.
I consider myself pretty aware of things going on online, until I talk to my 15 and 13 year old niece and nephew and realize that there are a lot more sites that kids go to that I've never heard of.

Simple Twists on Traditional Breakfasts

As part of the Target Busy Family Event‏, we were sent some traditional breakfast items, and encouraged to find simple twists to make breakfast just a little bit more interesting.

With 4 kids, it's hard to find just one breakfast item to please everyone, so it was a lot of fun inventing new ideas.

How about some old fashioned oatmeal with cooked apples

We combined Protein Granola with Nutella

Made little bites, it was delicious

Next, we combined the protein granola with peanut butter

Healthy, yummy and kid friendly

How about a fun twist on Nature Valley Crunchy granola bars, just add Nutella

Can you tell I'm a big Nutella fan!  It's delicious.

You could also chose to mix a couple of different brand of cereal and make a mix with them.  It breaks the monotony of the same cereal every morning.

Disclosure: I received the above items from Platefull Co-Op in order to write this post.  I did not receive any other form of compensation.  All opinions are 100% mine.

A 30th Birthday Party for my Husband

I love to plan to themed parties, and my husband was turning 30 this year, so I thought it would be a good occasion for a special party.

He didn't have a specific theme he wanted, and I wasn't inspired by anything specific either, so I decided to focus on the "30" and picked black and white as the colors for the party.

Here's what I came up with:

This was the main table. A simple white table cloth with a black one in the middle.

He loves Twizzlers, so I had to include some in the party.  I just used a small mason jar, and some curling ribbon.

 Another angle of the table

Here's a close up of the centerpieces.
I used big mason jars with tissue paper inside.
Then I used skewer sticks with construction paper and curling ribbon under them.

This was drinks area.

We had a S'mores bar

Some chocolate covered strawberries, we drizzled the number 30 on the bigger one.

These are chocolate covered Oreos

More deserts, including homemade chocolates

And finally an ice cream cake

I made a homemade Carvel cake recipe I found on Pinterest, and it was a big hit.

The decorations all blended well together, and my husband was happy with his party.

OshKosh B’gosh Spring Collection

I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for OshKosh B’gosh. I received a gift card to facilitate my shopping trip and to thank me for participating.

Spring weather is right around the corner, and for us moms it means putting away the winter clothes, and shopping for a Spring wardrobe.

With four kids, it's not always easy to find the budget for new clothes all the time, but if you shop smart, combine sales with coupons, you can get some beautiful clothes at a great price.

I was so excited to go to our local Oshkosh B'gosh store to check out their new Spring Collection, and stock on clothes for the kids.

My daughter had a blast going through the store looking for outfits to try on, and I had fun looking at the sales.

As soon as I entered the store, the employees were very helpful asking what sizes and gender I was looking for.  They pointed me in the right direction, and I started browsing the racks.  Everything is very organized by styles and sizes.

Everything in the store was at least 40% Off!  That's already a great deal.  I loved their new Nautical line, and that was 50% Off.

I couldn't find my daughter's size in a couple of models I liked, so the sales associate went in the back and found them for me.

She found a fun winter hat on clearance!

I picked three outfits to try, and some cute shoes!

What do you think?  I actually settled for the third outfit, one of the girl Tunics with leggings, but everything was so cute it was a tough decision.

This is what I ended up buying. Something for each of my boys, and my daughter.  The kids loved their new clothes.

What I was most excited about was how much money I was able to save.

The Collection was 50% Off, then I used the 20% Off a $30 purchase coupon.  You can print the coupon for yourself HERE.  The coupon is also valid for Online purchases and expires 3/12/14.

And, I was able to qualify for a $10 reward on a future purchase.  For every $50 you spend you earn $10, that's a great deal!  I bought the hat you see on some of the picture with my reward.

And now, here are a few pictures we took with our New Oshkosh Outfits.

After wearing them a few times, the clothes still look great.  I love the quality, and the kids say they feel very comfortable in them.
