Custom Halloween Water Bottle Labels from icostumlabel & Giveaway

By now, most of you know I love to throw themed parties, and my favorite is all the custom decorations I get to plan for.
It's no secret Halloween is coming up, and my mind is already going a hundred miles an hour thinking about all the fun decorations and foods I can make.

I've made my own custom water labels for parties before, but I've never tried actually buying them already done for me.  iCustomLabel.com definitely makes it easy for you.  I loved all the designs they offered, and since my next party is a Halloween, I chose Halloween water labels.
The labels were so easy to place on the bottles, I don't think I will ever make my own again.  It took less than ten minutes to label all my bottles, versus a couple of hours it's taken in the past!
I was very impressed with the quality of the labels, and I loved that they let me customize the labels with our name on them.
Best of all, the labels are 100% waterproof so you can serve them cold.
They will look perfect with our theme!
But it's not just for Halloween, you can get water bottle labels for every occasion...
like Birthday Parties,

 Or Barbecues!
I can't wait for our Halloween party so I can show off my bottles!

A Trip to Build-A-Bear Workshop #BuildABearFriend

My son has dreamed of going to Build-A-Bear for a long time.  We didn't have a store near us, so we've just never been.  When we got the opportunity to make our own bear from Smiley360, I thought it would be the perfect time make the drive.

My son started out by picking which bear he wanted to make.  They are so many choices from Superheros, My little Pony, Disney's Princess Palace Pet to Ninja Turtles and Hello Kitty.  Something for everyone.

My son picked a Batman Bear, next he headed to the stuffing station.  The staff was very friendly and involved, making sure that the kids feel very special about their bear.  They do a little song and dance before putting the heart in the bear.

Next, my son went to the dry bath station, then the dressing room area, where you pick your bear's outfit, and dress him.

Finally, the naming station.  Your child goes to the computers, and makes the Birth Certificate for their Bear.

We had a blast, my son loved it, and I can't wait to take my other kids there.

Disclosure: We received a free gift card from Smiley360 in order to make a  bear, however, all options are 100% mine.

Apparel n Bags Review

I recently discovered ApparelnBags.com, and I'm so glad I did.  The website sells just about everything, and at crazy affordable prices!

They sell shirts for as low as $1.94!  I'm definitely going to shop there when I need more clothes for the family.

Actually, they have a great back to school sale right now with great discounts.

You can even get Embroidery and screen printing items.

I enjoyed looking at their website for a while, their bags are so cute, and I loved their women's apparel.  I finally settled on this really cute shirt.  The quality is wonderful.

Unfortunately, it sizes a little small, so this shirt is too snug on me. So I would pick a size bigger if you were to order a shirt from apparelnbags.com, however, it's good motivation for me to lose a little weight, because I can't wait to wear it!

You can find this shirt HERE, they have it in several colors as well.

Disclosure: I received the above product for free in order to write my review.  All opinion are 100% mine.

Easy Huevos Rancheros

Home-cooked Mexican is always a delicious and affordable meal option.
It can also be quick and easy to prepare which makes it a great choice for busy days.

So Here's my version of Easy Huevos Rancheros:

  • Crunchy Taco Shells.
  • 1 Can of Diced tomatoes.
  • 1 Can of Refried Beans.
  • 1 or 2 avocados
  • Fresco Queso
  • Eggs
  • Minced garlic

  • Step 1: Heat the oven to 250 degrees, break your shells in half, and place them on a cookie sheet.  Heat them for about 10 minutes.
  • Step 2:  Drain the Can of diced tomatoes and place in a pan, add two Tbsp of minced garlic, mix & heat for about 5 minutes.
  • Step 3: Heat your refried beans in a bowl in the microwave 2 minutes.
  • Step 4: Fry your eggs however your prefer.
Finally assemble your Huevos Rancheros!  First the tortilla shells, then the tomatoes, then the beans, then your egg, sprinkle with the cheese, and finish with avocado slices.

It was delicious and so easy to make!

Even the little ones ate it!

The Allstate Foundation's Purple Purse Challenge Against Domestic Violence

This is such a great cause, I had to take a minute and share this information with you guys.
Allstate Foundation Purple Purse is making it fashionable to talk about domestic violence and the financial abuse that traps women in abusive relationships. The program ignites fundraising for more than 140 national, state and local domestic violence organizations. Funds raised will support life-changing financial empowerment services to help domestic violence survivors build safer lives for themselves and their families. Allstate Foundation Purple Purse aims to break the cycle of violence in our nation – one family at a time.

Some Fact About Domestic Violence:
  • Domestic violence affects one in four women in her lifetime – that’s more women than breast cancer, ovarian cancer and lung cancer combined.
  • Most people think only of physical abuse when they consider domestic violence. Yet, financial abuse happens in 98% of all cases of domestic violence and is one of the most powerful ways to keep a victim trapped.
  • Domestic violence and financial abuse often go hand-in-hand, but nearly 8 in 10 Americans have not heard much about financial abuse as a form of domestic violence. The number one reason domestic violence survivors stay, leave or return to an abusive relationship is that they don’t have the financial resources to break free.
  • Two-thirds of Americans believe that domestic violence is a serious problem, yet just over 1 in 3 have ever talked about it. Allstate Foundation Purple Purse aims to make it fashionable to talk about this difficult topic.
  • You can help ensure domestic violence survivors – likely someone you know – aren’t financially trapped in an abusive relationship by joining the Purple Purse Challenge. Open your heart and wallet to stand up for survivors and the organizations that serve them at PurplePurse.com.
  • The Allstate Foundation is investing more than half a million dollars in the Purple Purse Challenge. The more donations each nonprofit gets, the more it can compete for Allstate Foundation incentive funding. Go to PurplePurse.com between Sept. 2 and Oct. 3 to join the Challenge and help a nonprofit near you.
  • Kerry Washington, Emmy-nominated actress and domestic violence activist, is serving as a Purple Purse ambassador to help raise awareness for the cause and has designed a limited-edition purple purse. The purse was created to represent the center of a woman’s financial domain and to inspire women to reclaim their financial independence.

To turn any purse into a Purple Purse, The Allstate Foundation is widely distributing Purple Purse charms so you can show your support and attach to your favorite bag year round. They are being distributed with inspiring survivor stories through Purple Purse Challenge participants and Allstate agency owners.

Since 2005, The Allstate Foundation has invested more than $40 million across the country to help domestic violence survivors regain control of their finances and break free from abuse.

Please visit PurplePurse.com for more information.
  • New evidence from the Center on Violence Against Women and Children at Rutgers University School of Social Work indicates that boosting a survivor’s financial literacy, skills and resources can create a path toward long-term safety and security for survivors.
  • If you or someone you know needs immediate help, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or TTY 1-800-787-3224.

Mom's Night Out is Available on Blu-Ray & DVD & Giveaway

I definitely got a good laugh watching Mom's Night Out, and it's still as entertaining no matter how many times I've watched it!

I was lucky enough to see the movie at a special screening back in February, and I couldn't wait for everyone else to see it too.

What's the movie about?

All Allyson and her friends want is a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and conversation . . . a long-needed moms' night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation and food not served in a paper bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for three hours—what could go wrong?

ohh so much happens, and so much is relatable, I love it.
It's such a heartfelt and wholesome movie, I can't wait to let my kids watch.  I love that you can enjoy a comedy without it having to be full of profanities.

When you purchase MOMS' NIGHT OUT, you get a great story as well as a number of outstanding extra features. Wherever you buy the movie, bonus features include:
  • Commentary with directors Andrew and Jon Erwin, along with producer Kevin Downes
  • Deleted Scenes
  • Blooper Reel
  • The Heart of MOMS' NIGHT OUT
  • Casting MOMS' NIGHT OUT
  • The Art of Improv
  • The Art of Action
And if you buy the movie from a Christian retail store, you also have these bonus features:
  • Alex Kendrick's On-Set Devotional
  • The Difference Between Moms and Dads
  • Inside Sarah Drew's World
  • Andrea Logan White's Testimony
  • Grief and Growing with Abbie Cobb

Salt Craft for Kids with the Morton Salt Girl #MortonSaltGirl100

The Morton Salt Girl is celebrating her 100th Birthday!

Mom's Meet helped us celebrate with a nice party pack, and I decided to create a Salt Craft for the kids to do at the party.

It's very easy and uses ingredients you probably already have at home.

You Will Need:
  • Salt
  • Food Coloring
  • Liquid glue
  • Construction paper

I used about 1/4 cup of salt to two drops of food coloring to make different color salts. I found that using my hands to mix the two was easier.

Mix your glue with a little water.

Let the kids draw on their paper with the glue and a paint brush
Sprinkle the salt on the glue
Take off the excess salt

And there you have it, beautiful art!

Since the Morton Salt Girl first appeared on the blue package of Morton table salt in 1914, she's been an inspiring and enriching part of our lives. And she's still the one we trust, whether it's in our food or in and around our homes and businesses. Everywhere she goes, she helps make life better.

The adults celebrated her birthday with sushi!

While the kids enjoyed the treats! (They also had real food, I assure you)
Happy 100th Birthday Morton Salt Girl!
Disclosure: I was provided with a free Morton Salt Party Pack in order to host a party and write this post.  All opinions are 100% mine.

Just Hatched! Farm Friends Personalized Book from ISeeMe & Giveaway

I See Me! has come up with a new Farm Friends theme for their Personalized Children's books
If you haven't heard about I See Me!, they are an amazing company that offers personalized gifts that celebrate the uniqueness of each child and help increase self esteem in children.
The goal of their books is to show each child how absolutely unique and special he or she is, to teach the child how to spell his or her name, and to build vocabulary skills.

My daughter was so excited to see herself in the book, and couldn't wait to start reading it.  The story was very cute, and educational.  It teaches about animals around the farm and their sounds.  There are also a lot of opportunities to encourage counting throughout the book.
I'm very impressed with the quality of the book.  The images are beautiful, and very detailed.  The book itself is also very sturdy, and would definitely stay strong even handled by a toddler many times.

Below are some examples of the pages you can find in the book.  I especially love that not only is your child's picture on each page, but her name is written in the text, and on the illustrations too.
My daughter loved looking for her name on the shirts, the Dairy truck, and the signs around the farm etc...
You can find the book I reviewed HERE for $29.95.
Check out the other great unique gifts they carry:  Lunchboxes / Puzzles /Coloring BooksPlacemats / Stickers and Growth Charts! A little something for everyone!

Fit Made Fun Celebration with Leapfrog & Clif Kid #FitMadeFun

Today is Fit Made Fun Day and our family had friends over to celebrate with Leapfrog and Clif Kid!

Fit Made Fun Day wants to recognize the importance of active play, and encourage kids and families everywhere to jump into motion to experience the fun of an active, healthy lifestyle.

Leapfrog and Clif Kid helped us celebrate with the leapBand and the new ZBar Protein!
The U.S Department of Health and Human Services recommends that kids have 60 minutes of daily physical activity.
We used our LeapBands to keep busy for 60 minutes.  The LeapBands made physical activity so much fun for the kids!  It comes with many pre-loaded challenges such as “Jump like a frog" and “Walk like a crab".
The kids played several games, one of them was the Kid Challenge Relay.
We divided into two team, each team had a LeapBand and each member had to perform a challenge from the LeapBand.  The first team to complete all the challenges won.
Even the younger ones were able to participate!
Her challenge was to pretend to be a train.  The challenges have a timer so the kids have to keep doing it until the timer stops.
Not only do the kids get challenged to do fun physical activities with their LeapBand, but the LeapBand also rewards them with surprises to take care of their own virtual pet.
After the fun outside, it was time for a snack!
We made sure to have healthy snacks for everyone!
The kids sampled the New Clif Kid ZBar Protein.  The bars are nutritious and delicious with whole grain, and protein, perfect for busy kids!
What are the nurtrional benefits of Clif Kid Zbar Protein?  In addition to 5g of complete protein, Clif Kid Zbar protein is made with 70% organic ingredients, offers an excellent source of calcium, and is a good source of vitamin D, iron, and zinc.  And Zero grams of Trans fat.
The kids' favorite flavor was Peanut Butter and chocolate, but the chocolate chip, and chocolate mints were very close behind.
I even tried the bars, and I think they're very tasty!
I hope your family will participate in Fit Made Fun day!  We had a blast!
Disclosure: I received free products in order to host the LeapFrog and Clif Kid sponsored MommyParty.  The opinions expressed here are my own.
